Suspended pendant lamps as outdoor lighting are often used next to the front door, as they light up the hallway and surrounding area. Spotlights can be inset into the overhang of the roof to make the area immediately surrounding the house visible and thus more secure when it’s dark outside. Outdoor lamps have a tighter, more durable construction and should not be confused with lamps for use indoors.
