When you entrust Markslöjd with your personal data, it is important to us that you feel assured. Your privacy is important to us. Your personal data is processed with the utmost respect and in accordance with current legislation. This policy describes how we collect and process your personal data when you visit our website and use the services offered there.

All processing of personal data takes place in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data controller is Markslöjd Intertrade AB (corporate identity number 556022-2050).

When you place your order, you consent to us storing and using your data to complete and provide the service you expect from us.

What is a personal data:

Personal data is information relating directly or indirectly to an identifiable living natural person. Examples of personal data include name, personal identity number, address, email address or telephone number. It can also apply to customer numbers, encrypted data and various types of electronic identities, such as IP numbers

What personal information do we collect and why?

Information you provide when you become a customer of Markslöjd
When you become a customer of Markslöjd, we collect your contact details: name, address, email address, telephone number and, where applicable, personal identity number. We also collect information about the shipping method, any collection point and IP address. The purchase agreement we have entered into with you constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your personal data and is necessary for us to be able to satisfy our legal obligations and fulfil this agreement with you regarding, for example, delivery and payment.

Data collected through personal contact
When you contact customer service via, for example, email, telephone or chat, we collect the personal data that you provide us with. We do this in order to be able to answer the questions you have and to deal with your case. This may include, for example, details regarding your name, email address and order number. If your question relates to a complaint, we will process your data in order to comply with our obligations under the applicable consumer law. We do this on the legal basis of our purchase agreement with you.

Fulfilment of our agreement
We process your data in order to identify you as a customer, to manage and deliver your order and to manage invoicing and payment. We also process your personal data in order to be able to help you if you contact us with questions, comments or, for example, a complaint.

Information about products and services
We use your personal data for sending mails with information about our products and services. You can withdraw your consent to receive newsletters, promotions and offers at any time by contacting customer service or using the unsubscribe link provided in each newsletter. We will never disclose your data to unauthorised parties or sell it to external parties.

Who do we share personal data with?

Payment solutions
In order to be able to take payment, manage invoices and payments, we share information with Klarna. Klarna will collect personal data about you in relation to payment. Carriers/Shipping companies
Our shipping companies have access to the personal data required to complete and deliver your order.

Cookies / Google / Facebook
This website contains cookies, we share analytics data via third-party cookies for marketing and web analytics to improve our services. We do not record information about the visitor’s IP address, which is why the information about you cannot be linked to your identity.

We use the Google Analytics analysis tool to improve the content, navigation and structure of the website. The analysis tool uses JavaScript and cookies, and the information about your use is anonymised.

What is a cookie?

Markslojd.com uses persistent cookies and session cookies. In order to send you information about our products and services, we use an external CRM system where we store your email address. You must agree to receive this mailing and you can unsubscribe at any time, either via the link in the newsletter or by contacting our customer service.
Once you have completed your purchase, you may receive a request to leave a review regarding Markslöjd and your purchased product.

When you use our email and/or FAQ, personal data, such as telephone number, name, address, email address, IP number and the information you yourself submit, may be stored

How long we save your personal data:

We store personal data for as long as there is a legal basis, a documented purpose for the processing or an ongoing user relationship. We have ongoing procedures that ensure that we do not store unnecessary personal data and we minimise the storage time as far as possible. We normally store your customer details for a maximum of three years from when you last contacted us as a customer. However, we store data required under the Accounting Act for up to eight years.


How we protect your personal data
We have taken appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. The number of people who have access to your personal data is limited. Only people with us who need to process your personal data have access to it. The suppliers with whom we share personal data will only process them on our behalf and do so in accordance with our instructions. We use industry standards to store, process and communicate sensitive information in a secure way eg. SSL / TLS, PGP and one-way hash algorithms.


You decide regarding your personal data
You have the right to see the personal data held about you by Markslöjd and to request that it be erased. In order to access this information or erase your data, your application must be in writing, contain your personal identity number and be signed by you. Send your application to Markslöjd AB. The data or confirmation of erasure will be sent without undue delay to your registered address.

You can always use the unsubscribe link in the promotions, offers and newsletters we send you.
If your data is incomplete, inaccurate or irrelevant, you have the right to request that it be corrected or erased. You also have the right to claim damages if the processing of your personal data has not been within the law.

Among the data that cannot be erased is data that is required in accordance with the Accounting Act and data that is required for Markslöjd to be able to fulfil its obligations in the event of, for example, complaints.

If you nonetheless feel that our processing of your personal data is not being carried out correctly, you are welcome to contact us. You can also file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, which is the authority that supervises the processing of personal data.

Your rights
